Favorite Rijhnen confirmed in the road race

Great bunch of athletes for the mens road race. 30K of sensation ! In the first couple of rounds, locals Kwinten Tas and Jore Vandenberghe escaped. The took maximum 300m on the bunch where the other Zwaantjes slowing down the pace for their team-mates. A couple of athletes started to chase and everything came back to one group.

From then on we had quiet some attacks : Siemen Tas, Bediaf and our 'good old' Frank Fiers escaped for a moment... Garderes was the last one with an attempt but it came to a sprint with all major favorites. Felix Rijhnen dashed to another win before multiple European junior athlete Livio Wenger. Nollan Beddiaf finished third before last years winner Kwinten Tas.
