Swings outstanding in the points race

Bart Swings won the points race with a massive lead. Swings escaped from the bunch in the first few laps, taking Ruurd Dijkstra (NL) and Stefan Due Schmidt (DK) with him but getting the most points. Swings was the first to lap the pack. Due Schmidt and Dijkstra did the same thing in the last laps. Swings had collected 40points so victory was sure. Due Schmidt took 17 points at place 2, Dijkstra 10 points at place 3.

The ladies points race was won by the earlier winner of the 300m: Sandrine Tas. She also won by a massive gap as she collected 29 points while 2nd place was for Deborah Marchand with 13 points and 3th place was for Manon Kamminga with 12 points.
